The most impressive and iconic photographs of Muhammad Ali were taken while he was in the water. These photos capture the boxing legend practicing in a Miami swimming pool in 1961. Ali, then still known as Cassius Clay, explained to photographer Flip Schulke that his previous trainer had encouraged him to practice in the pool as the water resistance acts just like weight. On the day of the shoot, Schulke had already taken several photos of the boxer before capturing the best-known shot.
